Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam content. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or hearing or visual impairment, you should contact the exam provider directly and be sure to provide a detailed document upon registration.
Faculty can view their exam times by using the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for classes that must have an exam by NYSED regulations. For evening classes, final exams are scheduled at the regular class meeting time during the final week of exams.

Registration

If a student is scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their department or instructor to arrange for a make-up test. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the examination fee. This fee is in addition the course fees.
Practice tests let you get a feel for the style of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you assess your understanding, find areas of weakness and increase your chances of passing the test.
Please note that the examination fee is not refundable. Exam results can only be received by email and not by telephone.
